Therapeutic Massage

Therapeutic Massage uses lighter pressure than deep tissue and is generally more comfortable and relaxing. This type of massage still helps to release tension, but in a gentler way.

Manual Lymphatic Drainage

Manual lymphatic drainage uses light brushing techniques to stimulate the skin and lymphatic system. MLD is known to boost the immune system and decrease swelling within the body. Ideal for pregnancy, post surgery or those with swelling.

Trigger Point Therapy

Trigger point therapy uses very firm pressure, applied to various trigger points on muscles and fascia. This treatment can be intense but is most beneficial for increasing Range of Motion (mobility) and releasing tension.

Myofascial Cupping

Cupping therapy uses small plastic cups suctioned onto the skin. They can be left in various arrangements or moved around providing a similar sensation to massage.Cupping increases blood flow to the soft tissue (muscles, skin, fascia). Which increases oxygen and nutrient supplies to the area, as well as boosting cellular immunity.The cups used can also go over tendons and bones, which you typically don’t do using traditional methods of massage.

What happens in a rehab appointment?

A thorough consultation will be carried out to find out what the ongoing issue or pain is and to determine the best way we can help you. This almost always includes prescribing some stretches and strengthening exercises to help the affected area, as well as a suggested treatment which may include cupping, massage or dry needling.
